There are plenty of different turn-based strategy games, but there are certainly not many as simplified and, at the same time, complex, as Hoplite.
In Hoplite, each move is crucial, as all the game may depend on the next move, not like in other games in which mistakes are not so important and there is always some time of response. In Hoplite, a single mistake means "this is the end...see you later"
Hoplite wants the players to have fun and knows that those player who download it love strategy games, so this game proposes to think calmly of the next move in order to overtake the enemy and get the best attack and defense position. In the end, this is the goal of this kind of games.
Hoplite tries to make you improve your decision making skill. The first ones are the most difficult, then you get into the mechanics of the game and you can move forward more easily, but just a little bit, as Hoplite wants to make of every move a new experience so, don't be too self-confident.
A very entertaining game that represents a constant challenge.
